About Pass Exams Faster
Helping students study smarter, remember more, and perform with greater confidence under exam pressure.
Welcome to Pass Exams Faster — a practical study tips blog focused on helping students improve memory retention, use better study methods, and prepare more effectively for exams.
Many students spend long hours rereading notes, highlighting textbooks, and trying to memorise large amounts of information, only to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or forgetful when exam pressure begins. This blog was created to explore clearer, more practical ways to learn, recall information faster, and reduce unnecessary study stress.
The Observation That Started Everything
My students were struggling — not with their physical training, but with the academic and theory portions of their martial arts examinations. These were dedicated, disciplined people who trained hard and showed up consistently. Yet when it came to sitting down, studying written material, and recalling information under exam pressure, many of them fell apart.
They were rereading notes, staring at pages, and still blanking out when it mattered most. What I observed was not a lack of effort. The problem was method. Nobody had ever taught them how to study in a way that actually builds memory.
In martial arts, we would never teach a student a technique by having them watch it repeatedly and hope it sticks. We make them do it. We make them retrieve it under pressure until it becomes second nature. The academic world was missing exactly that principle.
Why I Created This Blog and Wrote the Book
That observation did not just apply to martial arts students. I started looking more broadly and saw the same pattern everywhere — high school students, university students, medical students, professionals sitting certification exams. All of them studying hard. Many of them still struggling to recall what they had studied when the pressure was on.
In 2025 I created Pass Exams Faster to address that gap directly. Shortly after, I wrote and published my book to give students a complete, structured system for replacing passive study habits with active retrieval techniques that build real, durable memory.
Everything on this blog and in the book comes from one honest observation — not from a university research lab, but from 47 years of watching how people actually learn, and recognising what was missing from the way most students approach academic study.

Meet the Author
Curtis Siewdass
Exam Strategist & Memory Coach — 47 Years Teaching Experience
Curtis Siewdass is a martial arts instructor and the founder of Pass Exams Faster. With 47 years of teaching experience, he developed a deep understanding of how people build memory, retain skills, and perform under pressure — first in the dojo, and later applied to academic and professional exam preparation.
After observing his own students struggle repeatedly with the written and theory portions of their martial arts assessments, Curtis began researching memory science and active recall strategies. That research became this blog and his published book — both designed to give students a practical system for studying smarter and recalling more under real exam pressure.
Curtis writes about memory improvement, active recall, exam preparation, and smarter learning strategies designed to help students and professionals retain information more effectively and perform with greater confidence when it counts.
